A fresh batch of snow surprised us on Saturday morning. My gentle-pink sweater has been waiting for its opportunity, and this day was perfect for it. I matched it with a patterned black and white coat and a bag in the same shade of pink as the sweater, which is very dear to me these days. This winter I like wearing hats, and I didn't forget to put one on today either. I love tiny details, so the stars of today's outfit are handmade wooden earrings, crafted by Ilija Vabec. The wood gives off a warmth that cannot be replicated by any other material. The earrings' simple shape and precise craftsmanship give off an air of elegance that [...]
You must have seen my mini DIY project on my instagram already. My embroidery obsession and retro patterns is growing every day, and because embroidered trousers are usually very expensive I’ve decided to buy a pair of regular “mom jeans” and sew on my own piece.I bought the large flower embroidery on Aliexpress for less than 1€ (!!!) and received it quite soon, 14 days later. Because the piece doesn’t have glue on the back side I had to sew it on. I started at the top and used the correct green or red color to make sure my DIY job looked proper. This way I also made sure that the pants aren’t too tight and prevented the embroidery [...]
Our easter eggs colored with onion peels and a few blueberries, resulting in a natural grey tan. What do you think? 🙂 Happy Easter!
This blog post on Beautyfull blog reminded me of my unused Shea butter stockpile. Since Valentine's day is coming I've decided to make nourishing homemade massage bars and give them to my loved ones. Since I love the smell of vanilla it's obvious I will be making vanilla bars (I'm keeping one for myself). If you decide to make them it won't take more than 10 minutes. I spent more time wrapping them up than creating them. You will need: - shea butter - vanilla in any form: ground vanilla, vanilla beans, vanilla extract... I used all of these. - optional: coffee beans I used the coffee and vanilla beans for decoration mostly, and for a better massage [...]
As promised, here is my last batch of Christmas-New Year greeting cards. This time they're in the colors of Christmas: green, blue, red and pink. Blue and pink combine well with silver, and red and green go great with gold. Take a look:
Drying oranges reminds me of childhood, and their scent combined with cinnamon is the definition of Christmas for me. I've decided to share how I dry oranges with you, so you can create some Christmas spirit too. Slice oranges into thin slices and lay them on a paper towel, which will soak up the excess juice. Use another paper towel to lightly tap them on top too. Leave them there for about 20 minutes, then transfer them to a baking tray with baking paper. Dry for 4 hours at 80°C. I recommend to use the fan oven option and to bake them for longer rather than taking them out too soon. When they turn golden and shrink they're [...]
December’s DIY project are new year’s greeting cards in three variants. After my Black&White collection I'd like to show you my second one. Golden stars and shades of brown combined with red remided me of gingerbread so much that I decided to name this collection Golden Gingerbread. Check them out:
December's DIY project are new year's greeting cards in three variants. This first one is in the Black&White style. Minimalistic strips of grey combined with simple shapes create a bit of holiday magic that I am delighted about. Check them out:
Finally the first advent Sunday arrived and with it we lit up the first candle on the advent wreath! My wreath this year is made from lavender, because I just can't get enough of it. Its color is very appropriate for the holiday times and goes perfectly with purple, white, silver and gold. Beautiful, isn't it? You can find the guide on how to make the lavender wreath and other products made from lavender here.
YAAY, It's Halloween! I'm very late with carving and decorating pumpkins this year... but better late than never, right? This year I decided to go simple and sprayed the pumpkins with white and decorated them with cute glitter. You can also simply paint them with a white acrylic color, but I found spraying them simpler. They were done quickly and are super cute! Look at how they turned out. Happy halloween!
These are just the prettiest and very easy to make. You can use them as a ring, pendant, keychain, little ones for earrings etc. 🙂 1: For one clover flower you will need a ball of white polymer clay, one in pastel purple and one in green. 2 & 3: Roll out the white and purple one. Wrap the white pancake around the green ball, then wrap the purple pancake around them 🙂 4: You have big purple ball now and inside are white pancake and green ball. 😀 (Sounds like cooking or something) 5 & 6: Find a pair of nail scissors and begin to carve the clay flower out of your ball. 7 & 8: Continue all around [...]
