I’ve tested the new limited edition Prêt à Lumière product line by Catrice. It puts emphasis on shading and lighting your face with a new technique called strobing, which is becoming as popular as contouring. To employ the technique you lighten up the parts of your face which are already well lit naturally – the top of your cheekbones, under the brows, the tip of your nose, the middle of the forehead, and the area above the upper lip. This technique is supposed to make you look a bit younger, unlike contouring. At Catrice they’ve created products which create the perfect shine on the face. I’ve been impressed by the highlighter in gel form most of all, since it was the first time I’ve seen such a product. I immediately liked the other products too, since I’m infatuated with glitter and shine, especially in the sparkly December.
Prêt-à-Lumière Strobing Gel Highlighter
This highlighter in gel form is new to me, since I’ve only ever used the powdered ones. Its ability to spread and blend with the skin is further enhanced on account of its texture. It contains light refracting pigments and creates a pink-bronze shine. It has immediately become one of my highlighter favorites. It’s available in shade Co1 Luminous Lights.

Prêt-à-Lumière Mascara Glam & Doll Sparkling Lashes
The tiny glitter containing mascara which lengthens the lashes has impressed me as well. Why use a normal black mascara when you can have glitter and shine on the lashes too? This mascara is the icing on the cake to a celebratory make-up. I use it by itself, but you can combine it with a classic black mascara.

Prêt-à-Lumière Highlighting Powder
Here is the final product from the collection, which also hasn’t let me down. Its silky texture is easy to blend, but what really blew my mind was that it contains tiny glitter in three different shades – nude, gold and pink. Because of this it shines in the shade of rose-gold, which we rose gold fanatics can’t resist. Mine is in the shade Co1 Luminous Lights, and it’s available in two others: Co2 Golden Glow and Co3 Prismatic Pink.
