All cosmetics companies are stocking up the shelves with new products which fall under the spring/summer 2017 colletion. Catrice cosmetics, which I like very much, is already coming up with new, innovative products and ideas. I’ve tried two items from the new collection so far, and I’ll definitely try some more, since there are so many of them and look really interesting. You’ve probably seen that they’ve created an ombre lipstick, where you get two colors in one lipstick so you can create this flowing look. I’m most interested to see if it will work – have you tried it yet? Tell me in the comments! In any case, I’ve tried the new highlighter (of course) and a new mascara, because I’m looking for the perfect one.
Catrice Liquid Luminizer Strobing Pen 020 Ready For Champagne
This highlighter’s packaging contains a small brush which you can use to apply this glittery treasure to your cheekbones, nose and above the upper lip. Sadly the shade 020 is too dark for my skin and a bit too bronzy, so I’ve deicded to use it as a liquid eye shade, because I love warm shades on my eyelids. They bring out the color of my blue eyes. The highlighter dries for a couple of minutes and before it’s completely dry it’s quite sticky, so it makes for a great glitter base. I used it over the matte eye shadows, and over those I put some glittery shades which stuck beautifully. So I actually do recommend it as a primer for eye shadows! You can see the result in the photos.
Catrice Glam & Doll Mascara Sculpt & Volume
The mascara is supposed to define every single eyelash, give XXXL volume and spectacularly curly lashes. The first thing I’ve noticed was the very finely made silicone applicator, which made me wonder how they will work. The mascara curls the lashes beautifully and elongates them, but I would never use the words XXXL volume to describe it. The first time I wore it it was a bad experience… It was a rainy and humid day and after a couple of hours I looked like a panda. After a few days I decided to give it another chance, combined with eye shadows and on a dry day. It worked better then, but I’m still not impressed. I liked the Catrice Prêt-à-Lumière Mascara Glam & Doll Sparkling Lashes much better on account of its long-lasting effect and special look.
